Cantarana is the country we call home. It spans across vast stretches of lush woods and meadows, adorned with charming villages and farms scattered across the surrounding hills. These villages are connected by pathways, some of which can only be accessed on foot. The name "Cantarana" derives from its meaning as a "place with water," and this is evident in the area, as the source of Bonoma, which supplies water to the city of Asti, is located very close to our Bed & Breakfast. In 1995, our group of four individuals (accompanied by seven cats and a dog) decided to settle in this early 20th-century farm, previously owned by the barber Cantarana. We have since restored it to its former glory. The surrounding hills offer breathtaking views, and guests of our B&B can enjoy delightful walks, bike rides, and even horseback rides. We have special agreements with two nearby equestrian centers for the convenience of our guests. To reach our B&B, you can either drive (the Torino-Piacenza motorway exit is just 8 km away) or take a train (the Villafranca-Cantarana station is approximately 4 km from the farm). For wine enthusiasts, Cantarana is a dream come true, as it borders the most renowned wine regions in Piedmont: Monferrato, Asti, Langhe, and Roero. Guido, our knowledgeable host, will gladly share the names of the top wine producers in the area. During the summer months, breakfast is served on the terrace next to the rooms at our B&B. This delightful meal consists of homemade bread, garden-fresh produce (when in season), and other locally sourced products.
