In this village, there was a school, which has now been transformed into a children's holiday center, as well as a blacksmith's shop and a bakery. Le Campagnard, the local bar and restaurant, was a prominent social hub dating back to the late 18th century. During World War Two, it served as a safe house and a weapons storage for the local French resistance. It continued to be a popular gathering place until the 1960s, under the ownership and management of the same local family for over a century. After going through several changes in ownership and a period of closure, Le Campagnard has recently undergone significant refurbishment. It is now reopening as a Chambres d'Hotes, offering accommodation, along with a Licensed Restaurant for its patrons.
