Description for B&B:

Located in the charming market town of Felletin, our chambres dhôtes (French Guesthouse) offers a delightful Bed and Breakfast experience. Situated just 10 minutes away from Aubusson, in the department of La Creuse, within the Limousin Region, our guesthouse is ideally positioned between Limoges and Clermont-Ferrand, making it the perfect base to explore the beautiful Auvergne region, including La Mont Dore and the Puy-de-Dôme.

The main house has been lovingly restored, preserving its original features while adding carefully selected antique furniture. Primarily dating back to the 18th century, the house also contains elements that may have originated from the medieval fortified town it was built on.

We offer traditional French chambres dhôtes with a touch of luxury, providing spacious and beautifully furnished ensuite rooms at affordable prices. Additionally, we offer delicious vegetarian evening meals to our guests.

The cost of staying in Chambre 1 or 2 for one night is 50 Euros for 1 or 2 persons. Chambre 3 can be used as an apartment and features a kitchen and a large bathroom with a full-sized bath and rain-shower. Chambre 3 costs 60 Euros with the kitchen or 50 Euros without. Extra beds can be accommodated in the rooms for an additional charge of 10 Euros per bed per night.

To start your day off right, we offer breakfast at a rate of 6 Euros per person. For those seeking a delightful dining experience, our vegetarian evening meals consist of 3 courses, cheese, and coffee, priced at 20 Euros per person.

Felletin serves as the gateway to the plateau de Millevaches and is surrounded by stunning countryside, forests, and lakes. La Creuse is a perfect destination for nature enthusiasts, including walkers, cyclists, anglers, and photographers who can capture its year-round beauty. With its beautiful churches and other remarkable buildings, Felletin itself offers plenty to see and explore.

One of Felletin's unique features is its eau de source water, meaning the tap water is as pure as bottled water, straight from the mountains without any chemicals. This natural water is used to brew Fellis, a locally produced beer from a microbrewery in town.

The town hosts a lively market every Friday, with special events such as a Christmas market in winter and a world music and dance festival during the summer months. Other festivities and special "journées" include a book festival (journée du livre), a beer festival (fête de la bière), and the fête de Felletin.

The town square and its quiet cobbled streets offer a variety of amenities, including cafes, bars, restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops, two well-stocked and reasonably priced supermarkets, banks, gift shops, and a tourist information office. There is also a larger supermarket on the outskirts of town, easily accessible by foot.

Visitors should not miss the impressive churches and other hidden gems in Felletin, such as a former diamond processing plant. As renowned for its tapestry as its neighboring Aubusson, Felletin is home to the famous Pinton factory, where the world-famous tapestry depicting Christ in Coventry Cathedral was produced. For those seeking accommodation in Aubusson, our luxury guesthouse at 3 Place des Arbres, just 10 km away, is the perfect choice.

The river Creuse flows by Felletin, providing a picturesque setting to enjoy a glass of champagne and indulge in locally produced cheese on delicious French bread during a delightful evening by the riverbank.

La Creuse offers a truly wonderful experience, allowing you to explore the best of the Limousin region while being on the border of the Auvergne. With only an hour's drive to the breathtaking Puy de Dome, this stunning area is a must-visit destination.
