Directions

Located between the La Loire and the Le Loir rivers, the small village of Chigné is centrally positioned for easy access to the famous French Chateaux of the Loire Valley, as well as the diverse Gardens and extensive vineyards and fruit orchards. It serves as an ideal base for activities such as Golf, horse riding, cycling, and walking. Moreover, the Loire Valley offers convenient proximity to the UK, while still being far enough south to guarantee pleasant sunny summer weather.

If you prefer to travel by train, Chigné is a mere 45 minutes away from Le Mans, Tours, and Angers, all of which are connected to the TGV lines with direct links to the Eurostar at Lille or Paris.

For those traveling by plane, there are direct flights available from Britain to Angers (from Southampton) and Tours (from Stansted), with both towns being within a 45-minute journey from Chigné. These flight options provide a refreshing and convenient way to reach our tranquil oasis. Additionally, Nantes serves as an alternative airport, offering direct flights from northern cities, albeit being approximately 2 hours away from Chigné.

If you prefer to travel by ferry, Chigné offers various options. Caen (Ouistreham) is approximately a 2.5-hour drive away, while Le Havre can be reached in about 3 hours. Alternatively, if you plan to use Calais or Boulogne sur Mer, we are approximately 5 hours away. This allows us to serve as a convenient stopover on your journey south or on your return trip north from southern regions, whether in France or the Iberian Peninsula.
