Description for B&B:
Nestled in the Perche Sarthois region, the enchanting château de Chéronne and its beautifully designed park sit in seclusion amidst 400 hectares of lush woodlands and meadows. The picturesque Chéronne river gracefully flows through the front pond, home to a diverse array of wildlife. The entrance gatehouse, believed to be the original castle dating back to around 1490, proudly holds its place as a registered site with the esteemed French National Trust.
Constructed during the 16th century, the castle itself underwent modifications in the 17th century to eliminate its defensive architectural features, such as moats and drawbridges. In the 19th century, the main facades were meticulously restored, reflecting the elegance of the Renaissance era.
