Nestled in the quaint village of Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse, home to just 104 residents, l'Embellie Cathare is situated in the Hautes Corbières region of France. This area is rich in history, with influences from Europe's great civilizations, and offers breathtaking Mediterranean scenery, including ancient ruined castles, exceptional wines, and refreshing natural spring water.
For an authentic exploration of the region, we invite you to follow in the footsteps of the Cathars, retracing the trails they walked eight centuries ago.
The natural beauty of the landscape is evident in the rugged silhouettes of the medieval castles of Peyrepertuse and Quéribus, as well as the forests of live oak, olive groves, wild fig trees, aromatic thyme, rosemary, and fragrant lavender. Additionally, the nearby crystal-clear waters of the Agly River cascade down to the Hermitage in the spectacular Gorges de Galamus.
Upon your return to Duilhac, unwind by the waterfalls and pools of the historic mill below the village or enjoy the accompaniment of music as you sample local products.
