LA LANDAISE Rooms and Table d'Hôte at a Local's Home

Located in Laluque, at the heart of the Landes region, just 30 minutes away from the ocean and lakes, LA LANDAISE offers two furnished rooms for up to 4 people in a spacious homestay of over 200 m². Nestled in a charming village, the property boasts a fenced garden of approximately 2,000 m² with a private swimming pool, ensuring privacy and tranquility.

The rooms, situated on the upper floor, provide lovely views of the garden and are approximately 12 m² each. They are equipped with a mezzanine of 60 m², featuring a cozy reading room, library, desk, wardrobe, and shelves for each room. A shared bathroom with a bathtub and WC is available for both bedrooms.

Each room is furnished with a comfortable 140 cm double bed, shelves, duvet and pillows, and linen is provided. An additional bed is available on the mezzanine (140 cm), as well as a travel cot for families with little ones. Guests can also access a top refrigerator located on the mezzanine.

On the ground floor, guests have access to the common areas, including the living room and the beautiful garden with its inviting swimming pool. Please note that the kitchen is not available for guests' use, but the host will gladly serve breakfast.

For those interested in enjoying a delightful evening meal, table d'hôte is available upon reservation for an additional charge ranging from 13.- to 30.-. A shaded parking space is provided within the enclosed garden.

During the summer, a convenient beach bus stop is just 300 meters away. The ocean is easily accessible at a distance of 34 km (Vielle Saint-Girons Plage), while Castets and the A63 motorway are only 13 km away. Additionally, the thermal baths of Dax and Saint Paul-lès-Dax are within 18 km.

The property is conveniently located near a grocery store, restaurant, and the Museum of Rural Life in the Landes region, ensuring easy access to amenities and cultural attractions.

During the winter period, the heating is maintained between 16 and 18°C. The villa is equipped with central heating and a wood stove for added comfort. Personal laundry services are available on-site for an additional fee of 10,-.

Other amenities include WIFI, a library with French and German books, and please note that there is no television, so guests are encouraged to bring their own computers for entertainment purposes.

Breakfast at LA LANDAISE consists of bread, butter, a selection of homemade jams (around ten flavors), fresh fruit, orange juice, and a choice of tea, coffee, or milk chocolate. Breakfast is served from dawn until 11 a.m.

Check-in time is from 5 p.m. on the day of arrival, and check-out is at 11 a.m.

Capacity: 2 bedrooms for up to 4 people + 1 travel cot.

2023 Prices for a double room (two people) including breakfast:
- Low season: 60,-
- May/June/September/October: 70,-
- July/August + end of year: 85.- (weekly rental, arrival on Friday) x 7 nights = 595.-

A deposit of 30% is required upon reservation, and there is a decreasing price for monthly rentals. Payment methods accepted are transfers and cash. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

Please note that the villa prioritizes energy efficiency and is heated to 16°C to 18°C. Guests are advised to bring warm clothing. While there is no television, WIFI is available for guests to use with their own computers.

Once you reach the town hall, take a left turn, and you will find the house opposite the water tower at 40 rue des Marronniers. For GPS navigation, please note that "chestnut trees" should be indicated with a single 'n'. Guests can conveniently park in the garden, immediately to the right after the open gate.

Directions

To reach La Landaise:
Head towards Laluque village and follow the signs to the town hall.
Upon reaching the town hall, make a left turn and you will find the house directly across from the water tower at 40 rue des Marronniers.
In case your GPS cannot locate it, look out for a group of chestnut trees (spelled with a single 'n') nearby.
You can park in the garden, which is immediately to the right after passing through the open gate.
