The Discount is a lovely 3-bedroom house situated in the heart of Tuchan, nestled in the picturesque Cathar Country. Recently renovated, it offers comfortable accommodations for up to 6 guests. Each bedroom features an en-suite complete with a shower, sink, and toilet.On the ground floor, you'll find a spacious living and dining area, complete with a pool table for entertainment. The bedrooms are located on the upper floor. Outside, there is a swimming pool (8.5m x 5m) exclusively for adult use. Additionally, there is a summer kitchen, terraces, a garden, and private parking. Please note that picnics are not allowed around the pool or in the garden.
The village of Tuchan offers all necessary amenities, including a small supermarket, a bar-restaurant, a bank, a pharmacy, doctors, a hair salon, a swimming pool, and a renowned wine cooperative.
Nearby attractions include the Aguilar Castle, dating back to the 11th century, as well as the Cathar Castles such as Quéribus and Peyrepertuse, which are just a few kilometers away. The Fontfroide Abbey is also within close proximity. The village of Durban, located 17km from Tuchan, boasts a castle built in the 12th century.
The beautiful Medieval city of Carcassonne is located 80km away, while Perpignan and Narbonne are 40km and 50km away, respectively.
For outdoor enthusiasts, Tuchan and its surroundings are ideal for hiking, cycling, horseback riding, and even paragliding. The Mediterranean Sea is less than an hour away by car, offering opportunities for swimming and beach activities in Canet, Barcares, or Collioures.
Additionally, a day trip to the Spanish border at La Jonquera or Perthus, or even Barcelona, is possible.
