This charming farmhouse has recently been renovated and is located in the picturesque Vienne countryside in the Poitou Charente region. Known for its delightful micro-climate, this area is the second sunniest in France. The gite offers three comfortable rooms, two with double beds and one with twin beds, all complete with en-suite bathrooms. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience.The cozy lounge area is tastefully furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs, and features an English/French flatscreen TV. Stay connected with free WiFi throughout the gite. The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, and ample crockery and cutlery.
Outside, the charming garden is furnished with a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying meals outdoors. A barbecue is also available for your use, and you can relax on the garden loungers.
The nearby village of St Martin L'Ars offers two bars/restaurants, a village shop, and a recreational lake with a sandy beach, playground, and opportunities for boating and fishing. The gite is conveniently located just 20 minutes from the beautiful riverside town of Confolens, while the cities of Poitiers and Limoges can be reached within an hour's drive.
Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the well-signposted network of walks in the vicinity. L'Isle Jourdain, the closest town, is a mere 10 minutes away by car and offers a vibrant atmosphere during the summer months with its bars, pizzerias, and restaurants. Nearby, you can also enjoy canoeing and kayaking on the river, as well as the thrilling experience of bungee-jumping from the Viaduct every Sunday. Fishing enthusiasts will find plenty of opportunities on the nearby lakes in the area.

Directions from the north: Start by taking the D741 road from Poitiers towards Confolens. When you reach the junction labeled "Le Vigeant/LIsle Jourdain" (the D10), turn left. Then, take the first left indicated by a sign for "La Brunetiere, Viviers, St Martin LArs". Continue on this road for a little less than 1km, and you will arrive at the hamlet of Viviers. Take the first right, and our house is the third one on the right.
