Our guesthouse is situated at 13 rue Darnel, tucked away behind the Calais theater. The street itself is lined with stunning early twentieth-century mansions, and our guesthouse is one of the two houses with semi-detached doors, dating back to 1901. The attic features oeil-de-boeuf, adding a touch of bourgeois charm to the property.Located in the heart of Calais center, our guesthouse is conveniently positioned on the axis of Calais-Nord, via rue Royale. This thoroughfare leads you to the lively Place d'Armes, where you'll find a variety of restaurants and shops, just a 16-minute walk away. From here, you can easily explore all of Calais's attractions, including the theater (1 minute), the market on Place Crève-Coeur (9 minutes), the town hall and its belfry (12 minutes), and the beach and the dragon (34 minutes).
For travelers arriving by train, we are very close to three train stations, all within a 15-minute drive. The Calais - Fréthun train station, serving the Eurostar and TGV, is just 7.5 km away (13 minutes by car). The Calais-ville train station and the Fontinettes train station are both within a 12-minute walk (5 minutes by car).
If you're interested in exploring the city by bike, we are conveniently located next to the theater, where you can easily access the VÉLIN - BIKE SHARE LOAN service (2 minutes on foot). Additionally, the bus station is right across the street, offering free Calais bus services for your convenience.
