Description for B&B:
St. Jeanvrin is a quaint town located in the southern region of Bourges, Cher, which holds significance for the family's origins. The house was given its name as a tribute to our ancestral roots. The name "Jeanvrin" is a local variation of the name Januarius. St. Januarius, the revered Bishop and Martyr of Naples in the year 305, is among the fifty patrons chosen by the people of Naples. Throughout history, he has provided protection against various calamities such as the plague in 1497, 1631, 1698, 1767, and 1779, as well as potential destruction caused by the eruption of Vesuvius.
One notable miracle associated with St. Januarius is the phenomenon of his blood, which solidifies throughout the year but miraculously turns into a liquid state three times annually in the Cathedral of Naples. This extraordinary occurrence has been observed for over 600 years.
