Description:

Description for B&B:

Françoise and Yves have lovingly restored an old nineteenth century café in the charming village. The café now stands as a delightful building with vibrant turquoise shutters, a pergola at the front, and a secluded garden at the back, nestled against a hill adorned with trees and flowers of various species.

Inside, there are four comfortable bedrooms, each with its own unique charm. One of the bedrooms is situated within the antique shop itself, featuring period décor. Yves, the skilled cabinetmaker, has expertly restored the furniture, while Françoise manages the shop and came up with the idea of allowing guests to sleep amidst the treasures uncovered in the region.

The furniture has been meticulously restored, and the shop has been redecorated to provide a modern touch amidst a collection of exquisite walnut chests of drawers from the time of Louis-Philippe, country-style tables, rustic cupboards, vintage glassware, delicate slip pots, elegant chandelier pendants, and glazed pottery that will leave you mesmerized.

Above the carpenter's workshop, a light and airy room awaits, adorned with posters collected by the owners throughout the years, many of which showcase the famous annual jazz festival in Hauterives. The room exudes coziness and charm, equipped with a kettle, coffee, and a fridge available in the lobby.

Appréciations pour Chez L'Antiquaire, Hauterives:

The best BnB we've every stayed in
Review by: Teresa McCarthy , Juil 22 2023 9:23AM
Françoise and Yves have thought of everything and have added wonderful things such as homemade juice and conserves to Fresh croissants and bread each day. The apartment lacked absolutely nothing and they gave us lots of information for our stay. Wonderful facilities and garden to enjoy and right in tow. Thank you
