Description for B&B:

Located in the picturesque village of Bédoin in Provence, Les Maquinols Estate is perfectly situated at the base of the renowned Mont Ventoux. Offering beautifully decorated and spacious accommodations, our estate is the ideal place to unwind, relax, and reconnect with yourself during your holiday. Families, couples, and cycling or biking groups will find our property to be conveniently located just a two-minute walk from the village via a private path. Despite its secluded 5000m2 of land, guests will have easy access to a variety of amenities including restaurants, bars, shopping, circus, arts and crafts fairs, sporting events, and concerts throughout the year.

Each area of the estate provides breathtaking views of Mont Ventoux, the largest mountain in the region and a haven for cyclists and hikers. With private secured parking and gated access, guests can enjoy peace of mind. Additionally, the entire house offers fast Wi-Fi, and each bedroom is equipped with a kitchenette area for added convenience and independence. The main kitchen is located on the first floor.

Surrounded by vineyards, cherry orchards, olive groves, and fields of lavender, our estate is a nature lover's and birdwatcher's paradise. Nestled upon a hill overlooking the village and Mont Ventoux, guests can easily explore the stunning surroundings on foot or by bike. The house itself exudes a charming Provencal feel, featuring a large living room, a salon with a large screen TV, a dining area, and four extra-large terraces with lounging chairs and tables, providing both great views and privacy. With four bedrooms and three and a half baths, including a spacious master bedroom on the second floor, the house can comfortably accommodate up to 13 guests, although we prefer to keep occupancy around 6 to 8.

The area offers a plethora of activities, including cycling, swimming, hiking, and wine tasting at the numerous vineyards and domains nearby, such as Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Vacqueryas, Beaumes-de-Venise, and Gigondas. Bédoin is also surrounded by charming Provencal villages, landmarks like the Palais des Papes, markets, arts and crafts, and renowned culinary establishments like the Château de Rochegude. Within a short drive, guests can reach Avignon for theater, arts, and music festivals, as well as Marseille airport, Aix-en-Provence, Arles, Nîmes, and beaches such as Saintes-Marie de la Mer.

Furthermore, the area offers a wealth of hiking trails, easy walks, and strolls, with over 4000 kilometers of paths crossing Mont Ventoux and the Luberon Hills. Guests can explore typical stone villages, cool streams, red ochre hills, and fragrant plains that epitomize the beauty of Provence. For experienced riders, there are extensive opportunities for horse riding on marked trails throughout the countryside. Water enthusiasts can enjoy canoeing and kayaking in the beautiful waterways of Vaucluse, including the Sorgue River and Fontaine-de-Vaucluse. For the adventurous, paragliding is also available from Le-Barroux.
