Description for B&B:

The Dunedin is a grand Victorian house built in 1886 and is proudly awarded with an AA 4-Star rating. It boasts 8 beautifully decorated bedrooms, each equipped with a modern en-suite shower, wash basin, and WC. Additionally, guests can enjoy Freeview digital color TV, a radio alarm, hair dryer, cooling fan, and tea/coffee making facilities in their rooms.

Located on a wide and tree-lined avenue that leads to the seafront, The Dunedin benefits from free and unrestricted parking on both sides of Alexandra Road and the surrounding streets. While it is situated on the outskirts of town, it is just a short stroll away from the city center and the seafront. This prime location allows guests to easily explore the numerous pubs, restaurants, and attractions in Penzance without breaking the bank.

Breakfast is served in the bright and airy dining room, located on the lower ground floor. Guests can indulge in a selection of cereals, chilled fruit juices, and cooked-to-order main courses that cater to various tastes and preferences.

For relaxation, the Guest Lounge on the upper ground floor offers comfortable settees and armchairs. Guests can unwind by watching TV, reading the provided books, newspapers, magazines, or tourist literature, or simply taking a nap.

As a bonus, we provide our guests with free and unlimited access to the internet through our Free Hot-Spot Wireless Broadband (WIFI) network. To connect, guests will need a laptop with a radio card, appropriate virus protection, and a firewall. Passwords to access the network can be obtained by asking our staff for a scratchcard.

Please note that The Dunedin is a completely smoke-free establishment.

Penzance is the perfect base for your holiday, as it offers easy access to the stunning Penwith Peninsula. Visitors can explore hidden coves, sandy beaches, and ancient Celtic historical sites, all within a short distance from Penzance. For those seeking more active pursuits, sailing, windsurfing, and coastal walks along the ruggedly beautiful footpaths are highly recommended. Keep an eye out for dolphins frolicking in the sea.

The famous Minack open-air theatre, situated on the cliffs at Porthcurno, provides delightful evenings of plays and musicals. A day trip to the peaceful Isles of Scilly is also highly recommended, with both helicopter and SS Scillonian departures from Penzance.

Last but not least, visitors should not miss the opportunity to visit St. Michael's Mount. Rising out of Mounts Bay, this National Trust-owned island is a must-see attraction. Guests can either take a boat or, during low tide, walk across the causeway to the island.
