Welcome to the furnished 3-star gîte "On the Edge of the Cher" situated in the charming historic center of Saint Aignan and just 4 minutes away from the Beauval Zoo. Whether you're looking for a short stay to visit the zoo or a longer vacation to explore the beautiful Loire Valley and its castles, our gîte is the perfect accommodation for you.With a surface area of 78 m2, our gîte can comfortably accommodate up to 5 persons. Upon request, we can provide an extra bed for a child and a cot free of charge.
The gîte is beautifully decorated and designed with the following layout:
-Upon entering, you'll find a charming staircase leading to the rest of the gîte.
-The lounge area is tastefully decorated with a colonial red and grey theme, complete with a TV/DVD corner and a dining table.
-The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction plate, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, and a Senseo coffee machine (coffee pods provided). Please note that only frying type cooking is not allowed.
-The patio/laundry room is a convenient space equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and a toilet.
There are two independent rooms in the gîte:
-The master bedroom is furnished with a comfortable single bed (140 x 190).
-The secondary room is perfect for a child's room, with a bunk bed (90 x 190 + 140 x 190) accommodating a maximum of 3 persons.
-The bathroom on the upper floor includes a shower, hanging toilet, and a white satin washbasin for your comfort.
For administrative purposes, we require a deposit of €200 upon arrival, payable by check. Additionally, there is a visitors tax of €0.88 per adult, with minors exempted.
We offer the following optional services:
-Linen and bath towel rental/washing and set up for €5 per person.
-A cleaning service for €40.

Saint Aignan is a medieval town characterized by its winding and cobbled streets. You'll be captivated by the architecture of old houses made of tufa stone and half-timbered structures. Don't miss the 12th-century collegiate church and its crypt, adorned with pictorial frescoes.
During your stay, take a moment to admire the breathtaking view from the private Château de Saint Aignan and capture some memorable photos. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Cher River and relax at the "Saint Aignan Beach Islands," where you can participate in festivities and even go for a swim in the Cher to cool off.
Conveniently, all necessary shops including restaurants, a bakery (ideal for breakfast), a bank, a tobacco shop, a cinema, and a grocery store are located near the gîte, ensuring all your needs are met during your stay.
