Description:

Description for B&B:

Le Gaudin is a charming 18th-century farmhouse that has been transformed into a luxurious 5 bedroom bed and breakfast. Situated in the picturesque heritage area of Suisse Normande, the house is nestled in a valley surrounded by beautiful woodlands, on the site of an ancient Abbey. In the past, pilgrims on their way to Mont-St-Michel would collect water from the stream that runs through the wooded grounds. Le Gaudin holds a special place in history.

Preserving the original character of the farmhouse, we have carefully restored and enhanced the property to cater to the modern traveler's discerning tastes. Each feature of the house reflects the creativity and charm of the region, from the exposed stone walls to the grand fireplace and the long table where guests gather for our delightful and sociable dinners.

Situated on a spacious 4-acre site, Le Gaudin boasts manicured lawns and its very own lake. The peaceful woodland surroundings provide a serene atmosphere where birdsong fills the air and the falling horse chestnuts can be heard during autumn. The lack of light pollution also allows for breathtaking stargazing experiences.

Every bedroom at Le Gaudin is designed like a suite, offering ample space, en-suite bathrooms, and stunning views. Each room has its own unique style and details that not only provide comfort but also immerse guests in the local way of life.

Whether you wish to relax by the roaring log fire with a glass of Calvados, lose yourself in a captivating book on our comfortable sofas, or enjoy delightful company while dining at our spacious table, Le Gaudin promises an unforgettable experience. The property is also home to various World War II artifacts and picture books, offering plenty of intriguing discoveries.

At Le Gaudin, we understand the importance of breakfast, and we take it seriously. Each morning, guests are treated to an abundant selection of fresh bread, pastries, cereals, meats, cheeses, and yogurts. A variety of juices, teas, and coffees are also available.
