Description:

Description for B&B:

The Domaine de Blacons is a charming family estate that effortlessly combines simplicity and elegance, creating a timeless ambiance. Our utmost priority is to preserve this property that has been cherished by our family for generations. Additionally, we are eager to share our love for the breathtaking Drome Valley region, embarking on an adventure initiated by our parents nearly four decades ago.

Nestled amidst the picturesque landscape between the Vercors and Provence, this 17th-century residence exemplifies the architectural style of the region. Comprising of two main buildings perched on sloping terrain, we warmly welcome guests throughout the year, ensuring they feel right at home in a natural environment that seamlessly blends comfort and refinement. Surrounded by expansive three-hectare gardens, where the gentle chorus of crickets can be heard, our property offers a tranquil escape from the outside world, providing an idyllic setting enveloped in natural beauty. Mindful of environmental sustainability, the renovations carried out from 2010 to 2013 incorporated ecological materials, further emphasizing our commitment to preserving the natural surroundings. Our dedicated team strives to anticipate and fulfill the desires of our guests, allowing us to share our personal experiences and the unique wonders of this remarkable area.

Moreover, the estate serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the enchanting Drome, a haven for nature enthusiasts with an abundance of outdoor activities. The River Drome and Roanne Valley offer numerous water sports opportunities, while paragliding, horse riding, mountain biking, and nature trails cater to thrill-seekers. The nearby sloping forests of Saou attract hikers and climbers alike, offering an exhilarating experience. Mirabel-et-Blacons, the village where the estate resides, serves as a gateway to the Regional Natural Park of the Vercors and the Valley of Gervanne, boasting stunning waterfalls, majestic cliffs, and verdant countryside. The region's exceptional biodiversity thrives due to the favorable climate and pure agricultural practices, earning the Drome the distinction of being the first department to be designated Bio de France. Visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant local culture by exploring the vibrant markets that showcase an array of exquisite products. History enthusiasts will find delight in visiting the medieval tower of Crest, a Michelin-recognized attraction, as well as the charming mountain villages that are home to talented artists and artisans.
