Description for B&B:

Welcome to the Bed and Breakfast at The Chalets of the High Colony Barn. Our location in Château-l'Evêque, between Périgueux and Brantôme, in the direction of Angoulème, offers a serene setting on the edge of the forest. We have converted two charming cottages into comfortable bed and breakfast accommodations.

The Perigord Purple cottage is perfect for a couple or a couple with a child, as it features a small mezzanine. It includes a bathroom with a shower (90x90) and a toilet. The Chalet Périgord Vert is ideally suited for a couple and offers a bathroom with a shower (80x80) and a toilet. Both cottages are equipped with toiletries and a kettle with a selection of hot drink options. Each cottage also has a small terrace with a table and chairs.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast served in our dining room or on our house terrace. We offer a variety of homemade specialties, including jams, fresh fruit salad, and bread. Enjoy complimentary WiFi access during your stay. Pets are welcome, subject to prior conditions.

Explore the stunning natural beauty of the area by taking advantage of the hiking trails nearby. Within a 20km radius, you'll find several tourist attractions such as Brantôme, Bourdeille, and Grotte de Villars.

The nightly rate for the Perigord Purple cottage is €75, with an additional €15 for a child. For stays of 3 nights or more, the rate is €72 per night, breakfast included (for 2 people). Directions

If you are coming from Périgueux, stay on the right lane of the radar and take the right turn at the bifurcation. This road will cut across the departmental road. Continue straight until you reach the top, where you will find three small roads. Take the middle road that leads to the high coly. Keep going straight until you reach a restored barn.

If you are coming from Angoulème, once you reach the village of Château-l'Evêque, take the road that goes up to the castle. Pass in front of the church and the entrance of the castle. Take the first left turn, which will lead you up to the top. At the top, you will find a small road on the right that leads to Coly high. Follow this road as it climbs up straight until you see a sign on a barn.

Looking forward to seeing you soon,
Sabine Dubois.
