Description for B&B:
I am a historic property, dating back 270 years, but recently renovated in 2016/17 to provide all the necessary modern comforts. Nestled in a lush green landscape, I offer a peaceful retreat where your children and pets can play freely without worrying about grumpy neighbors or the noise of nearby roads. Despite the tranquility, I am conveniently located in the center of a small village with 500 inhabitants. You will find a bakery/pastry shop, a small grocery store, and a café-restaurant within walking distance. For larger shopping trips, there are supermarkets in Corlay (4.5km away), Rostrenen, and Pontivy. The beautiful bay of Saint-Brieuc and its beaches are just a 40-minute drive away.Surrounded by wild nature, there are plenty of opportunities for scenic walks, and nearby attractions include Lake Guerlédan (15 minutes away) and the Armorique Regional Park.
Inside the house, the ground floor features a spacious living room and lounge area measuring 50m2, complete with a comfortable sofa bed. The American kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary modern amenities, and a wood-burning stove provides warmth during cooler evenings (wood is provided). There is also a bathroom/laundry room and a toilet on this level.
Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms. The first has a king-size bed (160x200) and a child bed (70x145), while the second bedroom has a double bed (140x190) and a single bed (90x190). There is also a small alcove with an additional single bed. The upstairs also offers a shower and toilet facilities. The entire house was renovated in 2016 and is furnished to provide a comfortable and enjoyable holiday experience.
For entertainment, there is a record player available for your enjoyment, allowing you to listen to your favorite vinyl records. You can also make use of the vertical barbecue/rotisserie for delicious grilled meals.
Please note that this house has a septic tank system, which is common in rural areas. To maintain the system's functionality, it is important to use septic tank-compatible cleaning products and avoid throwing anything unsuitable into the toilet. Cleaning products that are safe for septic tanks will be provided.
To ensure the safety of your children, the staircase is secured with gates at the top and bottom. Additionally, the garden features a badminton court, a table football, and a swing.
Upon your arrival, a friendly young woman will welcome you and conduct a thorough inspection of the property. If you prefer not to clean upon departure, she can take care of it for a fee of 15 per hour. Your deposit will be fully refunded upon satisfactory inspection at the end of your stay.
