This spacious and comfortable architect-designed house offers beautiful views of the forest to the south, creating a peaceful and green setting. Located close to the village center, it is perfect for families as there is a playground for children nearby. The house also includes two parking spaces, a lovely garden with flowers and trees, outdoor games, and a large terrace with a garden table, chairs, and a gas barbecue.In the charming village of Illfurth, just 300 m from the cottage, you will find convenient amenities such as a bakery, butcher, tobacco shop, small grocery store, and a traditional restaurant called "Le Coq". There is also an Irish pub, a Carrefour supermarket, two additional restaurants (a kebab shop and a pizzeria), a cheese shop, a pharmacy, four hairdressers, a library, three doctors, three dentists, two physiotherapists, a chiropodist, and a delightful little market on Thursday mornings. There is even a bicycle repairman available.
The house itself is spacious and filled with natural light, making it an ideal base for exploring the Alsace region, Switzerland, and Germany. It can accommodate up to six people and features a large south-facing balcony, a patio, and a closed garden measuring 500 m2.
There are plenty of attractions and activities to enjoy nearby, such as a visit to the Ecomuseum in Ungersheim or the Bioscope. You can also explore the numerous hiking trails that lead to the Vosges mountains, sample the excellent wines of Alsace, indulge in the local gastronomy, including carp fries, and visit the picturesque villages of Colmar, Riquewihr, Ribeauvillé, and Eguisheim. The house is conveniently located just a short drive from Altkirch, a 15-minute drive from the Mulhouse train station, and 35 minutes from the EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg. Strasbourg is also just over an hour away via the A35 motorway. Additionally, there is a ski resort within 30 minutes and Freiburg, Germany can be reached in 45 minutes. For water park enthusiasts, the Laguna Water Park in Germany is also just a 45-minute drive away.

If you are coming from Euro-airport Basel in Switzerland, it will take you around 35 minutes to reach Altkirch via Freiburg and Mulhouse. You can also take the A35 road to Strasbourg, which will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes if you leave at 1 pm. Additionally, Altkirch is conveniently situated just 35 minutes away from Colmar, famous for its wine route and the impressive Castle High Koenigsbourg. If you are interested in skiing, there is a ski resort just 30 minutes away from Altkirch. Furthermore, you can reach Freiburg in Germany or the Laguna Water Park within a 45-minute drive.
