The walls and roofs are coated with a mixture of mud and straw, which is refreshed every few years. The ceilings of Riad Dades are crafted with reeds on aspen tree beams and can feature intricate geometric designs using bamboo stems. Furthermore, a thick layer of soil provides insulation. To reach the riad in Ait Ibrirne, follow these travel directions:
If you are coming from Tinghir and passing the town of Boumalne Dades, take the secondary road N704 (Boumalne Dadès to Msemrir) at the roundabout just before Boumalne Dadès. The riad is located 9 km from this roundabout in the beautiful village of Ait Ibrirne. The GPS coordinates are 31.436579°N, -6.010036°E.
If you are using public transport, the Boumalene Dades bus station is only 9 km away from Ait Ibrirne village. If you provide us with your arrival time, we will come and pick you up from the bus station. At the bus station, there are two types of taxis available: mini-buses (mostly Mercedes Benz 207 or 307) that can accommodate 15 passengers, and grand taxis (mostly Romanian car DACIA Lodgy) that can accommodate six passengers plus the driver. The cost of the journey is 5 dhs per person. Simply inform the taxi drivers that you are going to Riad Dades, and they will help you reach us.
If you are arriving at Ouarzazate airport, it is located 130 km away from the riad. It takes approximately 2 hours by private car or taxi, costing 3 € per person. Many buses also depart from Ouarzazate towards Boumalene Dades. If you let us know your arrival time, we can arrange to pick you up from the Boumalene Dades bus station.
