Description for B&B:
Located between Provence and Cévennes, near the Ardeche Gorges, the OUSTAU The MULBERRY offers a pleasant climate and an ideal location for both holidays and longer stays. Situated in the heart of the charming village of BARJAC, which is labeled as a "Character Village" and still retains the charm of old Provence villages, our bed and breakfast welcomes single travelers, couples, or friends for two, three, or more nights.Housed in an authentic 18th-century farmhouse, our establishment features a lovely garden with outdoor furniture where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings. We aim to provide a simple and friendly welcome, treating our guests as friends. Our three non-smoking bedrooms, located upstairs, are comfortable, cozy, and tastefully decorated. Each room is named after a tree from the Moraceae family: the White Mulberry room with three beds (90 x 200), the Breadfruit room with one bed (160 x 200), and the Fig tree banyan room with two beds (90 x 200).
Shared facilities include a bathroom with a bath, basin, and toilet, as well as a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. Breakfast is included and can be enjoyed on the terrace or in the dining room. We are happy to accommodate any dietary requirements upon request.
On select nights, we offer a host table with a Southern cuisine made from fresh seasonal products. Reservations are required. For other nights, there are several good restaurants in Barjac and the surrounding area, and we can provide recommendations based on your preferences and budget. We also offer the option of meal trays with advance reservation.
We provide free WiFi connection and have a library with a fireplace in our period stone salon, where you can relax by the fire, read a book, or play board games that are available for your use. Linens are provided free of charge, and parking is available nearby. Please note that we are unable to accommodate pets, as we already have a small dog sharing our daily life.
From our farmhouse, you can easily reach various amenities within a few minutes on foot, including a market, supermarket, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, and bicycle rental. The town of Barjac is a picturesque place where you can take leisurely strolls and explore its various attractions such as the fair, flea market, attics, library, and castle festival.
