Our finca is situated amidst the picturesque hills of El Terral, in the Axarquia region to the east of Malaga. This area is renowned for its charming white Moorish villages nestled in the mountains, each with its own vibrant traditional festivities. Our country guesthouse sits on the border of Comares, a captivating Moorish hilltop village, and the delightful Riogordo. Despite being enveloped by peace and tranquility, we are conveniently located just 40 minutes away from Malaga airport and the stunning Mediterranean beaches.

The name "Algarrobo" translates to "Carob Tree" or "St. John's bread tree." The carob tree produces edible pods, known as St. John's bread, which possess high nutritional value. Carob is often used as a substitute for chocolate, boasting lower caffeine and fat content than cocoa. The seeds of the carob tree, known as locust beans, are also used to create the Spanish liquor "Palo." After a day of exploring the Spanish countryside or relaxing on the beaches, we take pleasure in treating our guests to this delightful liquor.
