The ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, ideal for those who enjoy cooking. It includes a gas hob, fan oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, and other essential appliances. The oak worktop and unpolished marble tile floor add a touch of elegance, while the excellent stainless steel saucepans and top-of-the-range frying pans ensure a pleasurable cooking experience. All necessary utensils, attractive crockery, cutlery, and glasses are provided.

Moving to the first floor, you will find a cozy living room with a wooden floor. Double doors open up to a quiet patio at the back of the house, overlooking a small garden with a sun terrace. The garden is adorned with beautiful flowers and a variety of herbs, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, there is a BBQ and garden furniture available for outdoor enjoyment. The living room is bright and airy, offering a peaceful and comfortable space to relax. It is equipped with sky TV, DVD player, stereo, and an excellent collection of local interest books.

On the second floor, there is a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The bed is very comfortable and spacious, featuring an orthopedic mattress. A fan and mosquito net are provided for added comfort. The bed is dressed with luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen, and the bathroom offers a power shower and luxury towels.

It is strategically located between the 'Périgord Pourpre' and the 'Périgord Noir', making it an ideal base for exploring the entire Périgord region. The village itself is surrounded by beautiful countryside, perfect for leisurely walks. There is a Boulangerie in the nearby town of Lalinde, just five kilometers away, where you can indulge in fresh bread and croissants every morning. An excellent restaurant with breathtaking river views is only a short stroll away, and a superb cave offers a selection of local organic wines.

In addition to its picturesque setting, the region is renowned for its local markets, which take place daily in various nearby locations. Located just 5km from Badefols, this charming house is conveniently situated on the left side of the road opposite a car park.

By car, Bordeaux is only a 1.30-hour drive away, and the airport offers direct flights from Dublin with Aer Lingus, as well as flights from Cork, Edinburgh, Porto, and Bologna with Ryanair, along with other European connections. Known as France's second city, Bordeaux is just as beautiful as Paris, but smaller in size.

The famous wine region of St. Emillion is only a 1-hour drive away, offering a quaint town and exceptional vineyards.

Sarlat, with its perfectly restored old town dating back to medieval and renaissance times, is just a 40-minute drive from the property. As the capital of Black Périgord, Sarlat boasts more than 1,000 years of architectural history, with lanes, roofing stones, and stone walls adding to its charm.

In just 30 minutes, you can reach Domme, a bastide town perched high above the Dordogne River. It offers stunning views of the river and countryside and retains part of its original fortified walls and gateways.

Montpazier, also just 35 minutes away, is a National Heritage Site and the best-preserved bastide in the Dordogne. It is considered the most typical example of a bastide in the entire southwest of France.

Bergerac, a 30-minute drive away, is not only home to an airport with direct flights from Stansted, Bristol, East Midlands, Liverpool, and Brussels, but it also has a rich wine history dating back to the thirteenth century. The area's wines have been exported since 1254, thanks to special privileges granted by Henry III of England. Don't miss a visit to the Récollects Cloisters, now used by Bergerac's "Maison des Vins," and take advantage of the shopping opportunities.

Lastly, Issigeac is just a 25-minute drive away. Inside its old circular walls, you'll find narrow roads that wind around the village, showcasing its medieval past through its stone and wood architecture. Directions

To get to Sarlat from Lalinde, follow the D29 road for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach Badefols. At Badefols, make a right turn and continue for 200 meters. You will find the house on your left, across from the car park.
