Description for B&B:

Sylvie and Thierry invite you to experience the beauty of the Country Vellave at "le clos des pierres rouges." This charming bed and breakfast is nestled between the road of Santiago de Compostela, the picturesque Gorges of Allier, and the road of the Animal of Gévaudan.

"Le clos des pierres rouges" is a testament to Sylvie and Thierry's love for the Haute-Loire region. After their extensive travels, they chose to settle in Rougeac and transform a grand building into comfortable 4-star guest houses. The blend of ancient and contemporary elements creates an atmosphere of elegance and refinement.

The location of "le clos des pierres rouges" is truly exceptional. Guests can explore the historic road of Santiago de Compostela, admire the breathtaking Gorges of Allier, or discover the fascinating road of the Animal of Gévaudan.

On the ground floor, you will find a spacious living room with a cozy fireplace, connected to a dining room where you can enjoy delicious meals made with local products (available upon reservation) or indulge in a rich breakfast. The decoration is a reflection of Sylvie and Thierry's worldly adventures, with objects collected from various countries adorning the space.

Upstairs, three beautiful themed rooms await you. The "Tea Time" room features a comfortable double bed and a tastefully decorated shower room. The "Pondichéry" room, with its red and white tones, also offers a double bed. Lastly, the "Vellave" room is wheelchair accessible and boasts a spacious adapted shower room. This charming room also includes a covered terrace with magnificent views of the Mounts of Margeride and Lozère.

Outside, you can enjoy the expansive grounds and the stunning terrace. Horse riders are also welcome to stay at "le clos des pierres rouges."

Conveniently, the services and amenities of Saint Privat d Allier are just 4km away. For leisure activities, there are plenty of options. The Allier River, only 7km away, is a paradise for fishing enthusiasts and water sports lovers. The area is also ideal for mushroom picking. Walkers on the road of Santiago de Compostela can take advantage of the transfer service from Saint Privat d Allier to the bed and breakfast, and generous picnic baskets can be provided. Additionally, just 5km away, the small resort of Vernet offers excellent ski slopes and the opportunity for snowshoeing adventures.

In summary, no matter the season, "le clos des pierres rouges" is the perfect retreat at any time of year.
