Welcome to Sue and Dave Scales' beautifully restored maison-de-maitre. Located in a peaceful stone hamlet, overlooking a serene green valley, our home is just minutes away from the vibrant historic village of St Jean-de-Côle, with its bustling restaurants. Alternatively, you can explore the nearby medieval town of Brantôme, known as one of the top attractions in the Dordogne region.Conveniently, we are less than an hour's drive from Limoges airport, which offers connections to various destinations in the UK. Bergerac airport is also within reach, approximately 85km away, and Bordeaux is just 100km away. Car rental is readily available at all these airports.
Our spacious and bright house showcases a charming blend of French and English antiques, creating a delightful country-house ambiance. Each of our two large bedrooms can comfortably accommodate up to four guests and features a private shower room and WC.
Our two-acre garden boasts a Mediterranean-style courtyard with shaded terraces for relaxation, as well as extensive stone terraces with lawned gardens that lead to a large swimming pool and sun terrace. From the garden, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the valley.
Rooms are available year-round, with rates ranging from 50 to 80 Euros per room, depending on the number of guests and the season. Payment should be made in Euros cash at the end of your stay.
Located in the Perigord Vert region of the Dordogne, we are just a few kilometers away from the Limousin National Park and in close proximity to numerous tourist attractions. These include the historic town of Brantôme, renowned for its Abbey and extensive waterways, the magnificent Chateau of Puyguilhem, and the caves at Villars. We also highly recommend a visit to the Chateau at Bourdeilles, which features a historic tower, as well as the cathedral city of Perigueux.
This area offers a range of outdoor activities, such as walking, cycling, canoeing, and fishing. Of course, if you prefer a more relaxed experience, you can simply unwind by the pool and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
