Description for Gite
Welcome to Pinot Black Cottage in Clos de Guignes, a charming old winery with a rich history. Dating back to the seventeenth century, this estate in Tavers, Loire Valley, was once inhabited by monks from the diocese of Meung-sur-Loire, who produced wine for royal tables. King Louis XIII himself was known to indulge in their exquisite wines. As you enter the large farmhouse, which is now our home, you will be greeted by the sight of beautiful roses. This farmhouse, once a wine farm, is surrounded by vineyards that will guide you towards a spacious landscaped garden. Feel free to explore the garden and discover its hidden corners where our chickens roam. The highlight of our property is the tranquil and rejuvenating atmosphere, with a heated pool and spa located near the pergola. On sunny days, you can relax in a cabin by the river or even try your hand at fishing. Keep an eye out in the morning, as you may catch a glimpse of deer frolicking in the woods or pheasants waddling around.
We, your hosts, always greet our guests with a warm smile and good humor. The cottage is located in one of the outbuildings of our home, providing you with independence and a peaceful stay. We are delighted to offer you all the amenities of our property and its surroundings. It's worth noting that the attic area with two single beds may not be suitable for the elderly. However, the cottage is perfect for families with children or groups of friends.
Gite Pinot Black is conveniently located just a ten-minute drive from Beaugency station and 150km from Paris. You will be just steps away from the Loire River, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which you can explore on foot or with the bicycles we provide. The famous vineyards and castles of the Loire, such as Chambord, Blois, and Meung-sur-Loire, are just a short distance from the cottage. If you're looking for more adventurous activities, the Beauval Zoo and Sologne karting are also nearby.
Allow us to introduce ourselves:
SYLVENE: The creative mind behind the garden and the cottage's charming decor. Sylvène knows all the best activities and attractions in the area and will be your guide during your stay. She is always available to assist you.
VICTOR: The passionate vineyard worker who tends to the 120 feet of vineyards on the estate. If you catch him on a summer afternoon, you might find him resting under the shade of the century-old walnut tree in the garden, accompanied by our sunbathing cats.
