La Souqueto, named after the vines that provide shade for both the front and back of the house, is a beautifully restored and renovated Maison Bourgeoise. It has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished with a charming blend of old and new. The house is situated on the outskirts of the village, offering both the soothing sounds and picturesque views of the nearby river, while still being right in the heart of the old medieval center.The atmosphere at La Souqueto is warm and inviting, creating a relaxed and friendly environment. There is an abundance of experiences to engage your body, mind, and senses. In addition to freshly brewed coffee, tea, croissants, breads, conserves, and fresh fruit, breakfast often features a delightful seasonal treat, such as a tart, a layered yoghurt-and-fruit cup, or a cake. The house is adorned with captivating decor and artifacts, and the spacious, bright artist's studio and libraries offer endless artistic inspiration. For moments of private relaxation, there is a roof terrace and a small patio. The rooms are tastefully designed, and we provide toiletries, hairdryers, and fluffy towels. If there is anything else you require, simply let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Upon request, we offer evening meals, but there are also two restaurants within walking distance, one conveniently located next door and another by the riverside. The village itself provides various recreational activities, including swimming, petanque, tennis, fishing, and horse riding.

Within a short 30-minute drive, you can also reach the beautiful beaches and indulge in thrilling activities like kite- and windsurfing.The village itself offers a range of recreational activities for both children and adults, including tennis courts, petanque, fishing, and horse riding facilities. Additionally, being situated beside the picturesque Canal du Midi, you can explore the surrounding paths and waterways by walking, cycling, or even cruising on rented bicycles and boats.
For nature enthusiasts, nearby gorges provide opportunities for both gentle and challenging hikes. Furthermore, our location allows for convenient visits to historic Cathar strongholds, medieval towns, and vibrant cities like Narbonne, Beziers, Montpellier, Perpignan, and Carcassonne, all within a reasonable driving distance.

If you are traveling from Perpignan on the A9, take exit 38 (Narbonne Sud) and follow the N9 towards Beziers. At the third roundabout, turn left onto D607 towards Marcorignan and continue straight for approximately 12 kilometers. Then, turn right towards Mirepeisset. In the center of the village (La Placette), our location is between the restaurant La Taverna and the little grocery shop. A carpark is available on the right-hand side of the restaurant.
If you are coming from Montpellier on the A9, take exit 36 (Castres, Mazamet) and turn right towards Castres, Mazamet, St. Pons. Continue until the turn-off towards Montady (the fourth turn-off). At the T-junction, turn left and follow the road straight for 23 kilometers. Then, turn left almost immediately after Argeliers towards Mirepeisset. Follow the signpost and turn right into Mirepeisset center village. Our location is between the restaurant La Taverna and the little grocery shop. A carpark is available on the right-hand side of the restaurant.
If you are traveling from Carcassonne, it is recommended to take the D610 (the direct road from Carcassonne to Beziers, which later becomes the D11). Follow the green sign for Narbonne and then look out for the sign for Trebes on the left, which will lead you to the D610. Continue straight towards Beziers on this route. After Pouzols, take a right at the large roundabout (towards St Marcel), and then left at the next signpost for Mirepeisset. Our location is between the restaurant La Taverna and the little grocery shop. A carpark is available on the right-hand side of the restaurant.
