Dar Al Bahar is a fitting name for this stunning seaside residence. Situated on the city ramparts of Essaouira in the "San Dion" area, it proudly overlooks the vast ocean and its invigorating trade winds. Step onto the terrace and immerse yourself in the captivating spectacle of wind crashing against the coastal rocks. The panoramic view from here showcases the historic medina, with its majestic northern fort, the ancient Scala, and the Mellah, once the vibrant Jewish quarter. The distant sand dunes, stretching towards the city's outskirts, complete the picturesque scenery.

Jean-Claude and Lise, a French-Dutch couple, have lovingly restored this house that dates back to the early 20th century. In the past, this part of Essaouira thrived with the presence of an authentic windmill - now a mere ruin - which once supplied flour to the city and surrounding areas. The street, Touahen, still bears the name, a tribute to the mill's heritage.

Today, tranquility reigns in this haven, only interrupted by the crashing waves and the calls of seagulls.
