Saint Denis de Gastines is a charming village that offers all the necessary amenities, including a cozy restaurant/bar, a small supermarket, two bakeries, a pharmacy, a bank, and a taxi service. Additionally, there is a vibrant fruit and vegetable market every Thursday morning, and a fish market every Friday, right in front of our Bed and Breakfast.If you prefer, you can enjoy a delicious evening meal from our menu.
For those who love outdoor activities, there are numerous options in and around Saint Denis de Gastines, such as fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and exploring the beautiful surroundings on foot, horseback, or bicycle.
We are conveniently located just an hour and a half away from Caen, Dinard, and St Malo, which have ferry ports and airports with regular flights to both domestic and international destinations. Whether you are heading to the south of France, La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Biarritz, or even Spain or Portugal, we are the perfect stop for you. And who knows, you might even see us again when you return.
To relax and soak up the sun, we have a small and beautiful courtyard where you can find shade. The Loire region enjoys lovely and sunny weather during the summer, accompanied by a gentle breeze.
Finding us is a breeze too, as we are located opposite the church, which is visible from most parts of the village. Our Bed and Breakfast offers three guest rooms, all equipped with washing facilities. Two of the rooms are in front of the church, offering a lovely view of the village and its surroundings in the heart of the Mayenne.
Come and discover the Mayenne, a department known for its character and picturesque villages, as well as its magnificent castles. Whether you prefer hiking on foot, biking, or horseback riding, there are plenty of opportunities to explore and enjoy the beauty of the area.
