The Logis de l’Astrée is a charming 17th Century nobleman’s house located between Saintes and Cognac. Throughout the year, we warmly welcome guests to experience the original austere style that is so typical of the Saintonge region. Our main focus is on providing a warm and harmonious atmosphere for our guests. You will be delighted by the serene ambiance and spacious open areas, including a cozy sitting-room/library, a beautiful garden surrounded by vineyards, and a refreshing swimming pool nestled among woods and vineyards. Our location is perfect for those who wish to explore the many treasures of the Saintonge region, such as the stunning Atlantic coast, the world-renowned Cognac spirits, the Romanesque architecture, and the vibrant festivals that take place in the towns of Saintes and Cognac throughout the year. As a family of winemakers for seven generations, we are proud to share our passion for wine with our guests. Since 2000, the Logis de l’Astrée has been a wine-producing estate, and you will have the opportunity to taste our family’s exceptional Cognac, Pineau des Charentes, and Vin de Pays. The gîte is located in the old servants’ quarters, offering complete independence while still being connected to the surrounding property. With its own private garden and secure access to the swimming pool, the gîte has been awarded a 3-star rating by Gîtes de France.La Petite Maison provides comfortable and traditional holiday accommodation for 2-3 people. The sitting room features a plain fireplace and an old stone stove, reflecting the simplicity of the period. The bedroom on the mezzanine floor overlooks the sitting room. The separate kitchen and bathroom are tiled in terra cotta. The lime-washed walls and linen furnishings create a cozy and homely atmosphere. Guests can relax in the private garden before enjoying a swim. Bed linen and towels are provided, and television is available upon request.
Located in the south outer wall of the Logis de l'Astrée, La Maison des Chênes offers a peaceful environment surrounded by woods. It provides complete independence while still being part of the Logis de l'Astrée property.
The gîte has two rooms, each with its own private bathroom (shower and toilet), and covers an area of approximately 100 m². It can accommodate a family of 4-5 people. The spacious living room opens onto a private garden equipped with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. A path leads to the swimming pool of the domain. Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided.
The gîte is equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and iron. ADSL internet access is available in the reception area of the Logis de l'Astrée. Parking is available near the house with access through the garden. The Maison des Chênes is accessible for disabled guests.
La Maison des Chênes is currently in the process of being classified as a 3-star gîte by Gîtes de France.

To get to the Logis de l’Astrée from Saintes, follow these travel directions:
1. Start by taking the N141 road towards Cognac.
2. After a while, turn left onto the D134 road, heading towards Saint Sauvant and Saint Bris des Bois.
3. Continue driving through the village of Saint Bris while staying on the D134 road.
4. Shortly after leaving the village, turn left in the direction of Brizambourg.
5. As you pass by the cemetery, you will find the Logis de l’Astrée.
