Description for B&B:

Welcome! We are delighted to have you here. A vacation is all about escaping the daily grind, and holidays provide the perfect opportunity for new experiences and ideas. We invite you to spend your holiday in a serene and peaceful environment. Whether you prefer hiking alone or with your family, exploring the region on a bike or motorcycle, or simply enjoying some well-deserved solitude, Grange d'Anjeux offers a wide range of recreational activities to suit everyone's needs and interests.
Anjeux is located 5 km west of Saint-Loup-sur-Semouse and approximately 30 km north of the city of Vesoul. Situated at an elevation of 242 m, the village lies at the northernmost point of the department, in the Chanois stream valley to the west of the low ground of Planey, at the edge of the Vosges plateau.
Encompassing an area of 8.71 km², the commune is situated in a slightly hilly landscape on the outskirts of the Vosges. To the east of the commune lies the low ground of Planey, which originates from a karst source and flows approximately 7 km southwards into the Semouse river. The valley floor is around 235 m in elevation and is about one kilometer wide. Within the Anjeux region, the Planey tributaries merge with the Dorgeon and Chanois streams. The eastern boundary is marked by the hillock of the Fays forest, reaching a height of 303 m, which serves as a watershed in the Semouse valley.
In the northwest, the commune's surface extends into the Chanois stream valley and the hills near Haute de Calenne and Charmot, reaching an elevation of around 260 m. The northern boundary is formed by the forest of La Levue.
The neighboring towns of Anjeux are Dampvalley-Saint-Pancras and Cuve to the north, Girefontaine to the west, La Pisseure, Plainemont, and Jasney to the south, and Bouligney and Saint-Loup-sur-Semouse to the east.
The region has been inhabited since Roman times and was part of the Free County of Burgundy during the Middle Ages. Since 1271, there have been historical records of a ruling authority centered in Anjeux, which gradually came under the partial control of the Luxeil-les-Bains monastery and the Faucogney family. In 1678, with the peace of Nijmegen, Anjeux became part of Franche-Comté, which was then incorporated into France.
The Church of Anjeux, built in the flamboyant Gothic style during the 15th and 16th centuries, is classified as a historical monument. The 19th-century wash house is also of historical significance.
Heading south from Anjeux towards the Planey low ground, one can still find the remains of the La Sarrasinière castle in a small grove on the parcel of the same name.
The Planey source is a popular tourist attraction, with its shimmering colors ranging from blues to greens, depending on the weather.
