We have two charming rooms available in our 17th century little manor. The first suite is perfect for 1 or 2 adults and includes a double room and a bathroom. Come and enjoy the peaceful countryside and beautiful surroundings of the most picturesque village in the La Rochelle area. Our old house is located just 6km away from La Rochelle and Île de Ré, and features a large walled garden and a little river.In the historic center of Nieul sur Mer, you will be only a few minutes away from the coast, the port Lead, the bridge to Île de Ré, as well as the TGV station and La Rochelle airport. There are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling in the area, and a golf course is just 5 minutes away.
The first bedroom suite, located on the first floor, offers a spacious double bed and a bathroom with a shower, sink, and window. We also have a second bedroom called "Paul & Virginie" available for 1 or 2 adults, but we do not provide any beds for children.
Start your day with a delicious organic breakfast served in the "petit salon" or on the terrace. Our homemade bread, cakes, and jams will surely delight your taste buds. Please note that our house is non-smoking and we do not allow pets, as our cat tends to get jealous.
Guests are welcome to access and relax in our 1000 m² garden, and we can also provide a space to store your bicycles. Our house has been renovated in accordance with the French 18th century style, using old materials such as hemp and lime for the walls, ceiling, and flooring. The antique furniture and high 3.50 m ceilings add to the charm of the rooms, which overlook the beautiful south gardens. Outdoor garden furniture from Fermob is available for your use.
Located in Charente Maritime, near Île de Ré, La Rochelle, Rochefort, and Marais Poitevin, our place offers a perfect base to explore the region and enjoy a relaxing stay.

Lieu de grande qualité et hôtes sympathiques et de disponibilité exceptionnelle. Ie petit déjeuner, excellent, est un pur moment de convivialité au cours duquel nos hôtes nous prodiguent d'excellents conseils (que nous avons eu raison de suivre) quant à la découverte de la région et les bons plans pour déjeuner ou dîner. Endroit remarquable. Nous reviendrons.

We stayed for two nights during a recent house-hunting tour, and we can't wait to go back...this property is an absolute gem. Beautiful grounds... very comfortable rooms, and all the amenities you could possibly want. Fabulous breakfast with lots of homemade goodies and superb coffee, graciously served. The owners are a delight.

Perfect and quiet )
Thanks to Philippe and Christoph for the warm welcome at their wonderfully restaured old house. The room is completely independent from the rest of th house and is nicely decorated with old furniture. Nieul is very conveniently located to discover La Rochelle reaction and the favolous Ile de Ré.+++

Although we spent just one night at Philippe's in our way north we really enjoied it! They we so nice and gave us useful tips to explore La Rochelle, and the house is gorgeous and very comfortable (a must after a whole day driving). If we go back there in the future we'll stay there for sure.

Un trop bref mais très apprécié séjour au sein de ces vieilles pierres de tuffeaux.
