Description for Gite

Originally designed in 1886 by the renowned architect Harald M. Hansen for his own family, The Mansion stands today as a historically significant building. It proudly retains all of its original Victorian features, including exquisite Giannini and Hilgart stained glass windows, pocket doors, shutters, parquet floors, decorative fireplaces, carved wood trim, and plaster ceiling medallions.

The charm of the house is further enhanced by its carefully selected 19th century furnishings and artwork, paying homage to its rich heritage. However, our commitment to guest comfort in the 21st century is evident in the modern conveniences we offer. Central air conditioning ensures a pleasant atmosphere, while high-speed Internet, WiFi, and ethernet connections keep guests connected. We also have a strict non-smoking policy in place.

Prepare to be captivated by the unique experience that The Mansion offers in Chicago. Its first level boasts a spacious living room, a dining room that comfortably accommodates ten, a butler's pantry, a convenient half bath, and a recently remodeled full eat-in kitchen.

With a total of four bedrooms, our accommodations cater to various needs. Three of the bedrooms feature queen beds, while the fourth offers two single beds.
