Catherine and Benoit warmly invite you to their charming stone farmhouse in the Massif des Bornes-Aravis, where they offer year-round accommodation. This old renovated farmhouse boasts four cozy bedrooms, each equipped with a private bathroom and separate toilet. The rooms can comfortably accommodate up to three people, with the family room able to accommodate four.Guests will have access to a spacious lounge, complete with a large table for communal gatherings and a comfortable reading area stocked with a variety of books and board games. Occasionally, dinner at our table d'hôte is available for groups with prior reservation.
Located just a short distance away, the Col de la Forclaz offers breathtaking views of the pristine waters of Lake Annecy. This mountain pass is a popular destination for paragliders, hang gliders, cyclists, and walkers alike.
Whether you prefer gliding through the air, snow, or water, cycling, hiking in the mountains, or simply seeking a peaceful and relaxing environment, la Chavane promises to captivate your senses.

Directions
* If you are coming from Annecy, drive along the eastern shore of the lake and pass through Annecy-le-Vieux, Veyrier du Lac, and Menthon St Bernard. Once you reach Echarvines, take the D42 road towards Col de la Forclaz / Montmin just before entering Talloires. Drive past Vérel and cross Col de la Forclaz and Montmin Chef-Lieu. After 500 m from Montmin Chef-Lieu, you will see a small road on the corner of Ferriere hamlet, take that road in the opposite direction towards Montmin Plan.
* If you are coming from Ugine / Albertville, follow the signs for Annecy. Go around Faverges Marlens and stay on the D1508 road, which temporarily becomes a 4-way. At the second roundabout after the end of the 4-way, take the D42 road (1st exit) towards Montmin / Col de la Forclaz. Drive through Vesonne and start the ascent to Montmin. In the hamlet of La Ferriere, take the small road on the right that leads to a hairpin turn towards Plan Montmin.
* Once you are on the communal route to Plan Montmin, continue driving for 1.5 km until you reach the top village of Plan Montmin. Keep going through the village and you will reach the bottom of Plan Montmin, which is 100 m away. The Chavane is the first house on the left side, located in front of a meadow with a small chalet standing at its edge.
