The Halepa Hotel, constructed in the late 19th Century, was designed in the elegant New Classical style. Originally serving as the British Embassy during the late 1800s and early 1900s, this historic building played a significant role in Cretan history, hosting the signing of important treaties. In 1990, the hotel underwent a renovation, introducing a new wing with 42 modern rooms. Careful attention was given to preserving the grandeur of the original structure. Since then, the hotel has enjoyed great success. Accommodation options include 3 Suites and 46 rooms, with the Traditional Wing featuring a VIP Suite and 5 Superior rooms accessible by an exterior marble staircase. The New Wing offers 2 Small Suites and 41 Standard rooms, including 3 adjoining Family rooms. All rooms are equipped with modern amenities such as a private bathroom, hairdryer, shaver outlet, phone, free internet access, music, satellite TV, mini-bar, and central heating/air conditioning. The most recent renovation took place in 2005.
