Appréciations pour Le Moulin De Chazotte, Cherves Richemont:

Superb gite
Review by: Lise and Alain Savoie, Oct 26 2010 10:15PM
We stayed 2 nights in this gite in early October. This is a beautifully restored mill in the countryside surrounded by vineyards, hence very quiet. The twin room was quaint, clean and comfortable, along with a large private bath. Breakfast was ample and we had access to a TV lounge and a outdoor pool. Close to Cognac. Highly recommended.

Directions

Le Moulin de Chazotte is situated in the picturesque landscape of Cognac country, surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields. The mill is positioned by the river Chazotte, which used to provide power for the mill. With 12 acres of land, including woodlands, fields, and gardens, the mill offers a peaceful and secluded retreat, with only other guests and local wildlife as companions, such as occasional deer, wild boar, and various birds of prey soaring in the clear blue skies above.

For those seeking a bit more excitement during their vacation, the nearest village, Cherves-Richemont, is just a short 2 km drive away. There, you can find local bakeries, butchers, and a restaurant. If you're willing to venture a bit further, the historic town of Cognac is only 7 km or a 10-minute drive away. The surrounding towns of Angoulême, Saintes, and St. Jean d'Angély are also rich in Roman and Medieval history, boasting captivating architecture and bustling markets. Additionally, the beautiful French seaside towns of La Rochelle and Royan are just an hour's drive away, while the famous vineyards of Bordeaux are a bit further but definitely worth visiting.

Due to its location, we highly recommend guests to have a car. However, other transportation options are also available, with bike rentals being particularly popular in the area. We can assist you in arranging bike rentals for your stay.

The area is well connected with autoroutes, railways, and regional airports in Bordeaux, Angoulême, Poitiers, Limoges, and La Rochelle. Upon making a booking, we will provide you with a detailed map to help you find your way to our location.
